MSc
Liang Chen has a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, with training in biomaterials and medical-device concepts for cardiovascular and cancer-related applications. He completed his PhD at COPSAC and the Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Copenhagen, focusing on translational multi-omics to uncover early-life disease mechanisms and to identify biomarkers and prevention strategies for childhood asthma and related allergic diseases. He also collaborates with the VDAART cohort at Harvard Medical School and has been a visiting researcher at Harvard Medical School.
Liang is currently a BRIDGE – Translational Excellence Programme Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Copenhagen/COPSAC. His postdoctoral project (MIRA – Maternal Interventions to Reduce Asthma) investigates how maternal lipid mediators (oxylipins) and n-3 PUFA intake shape fetal/neonatal lung immunity and early-life disease trajectories, integrating longitudinal mother–child cohort analyses with mechanistic mouse models.
