Louise Monnerup
Research assistant
Louise has a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and has worked 12 months at the Department of Lung Oncology at Rigshospitalet. Subsequently, she has worked with children for six years at the Department of growth and reproduction, Rigshospitalet. Louise has trained as a youth ambassador, an education which seeks to help to optimize the care and treatment of chronically ill adolescents.
Louise started as a research assistant at COPSAC in August 2013 and primarily works with our youngest children in the COPSAC2010 birth cohort.
Louise participated in an exchange program in 2019 for 4 month at a child/adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic and the psychiatric ward for young people aged 8-15. This was to contribute to the COPSYCH project. Through her participation in this project, she gained extensive knowledge of research methods and developed skills in data collection, data entry, and quality assurance of electronic data (REDCap).
She acquired knowledge of and administered more advanced, computer-based neuropsychological tests (CANTAB) as well as paper-and-pencil subtests (WISC-IV, TOMAL-2, and D-KEFS). She conducted psychopathological screenings of 10-year-old children by performing a semi-structured, clinical diagnostic interview with their parents, and then with the child (K-SADS-PL).
