Jie Jiang earned her MSc in Food Science and Engineering from Jiangnan University in 2020. Her master’s research centered on high-throughput sequencing of potential probiotics, with a particular focus on the comparative genomic analysis of Pediococcus pentosaceus. She also explored the impact of short-term administration of Pediococcus pentosaceus on physiological characteristics, inflammation, and intestinal microecology in mice.
Currently, Jie is pursuing her PhD at the COPSAC and the University of Copenhagen. Her research project aims at preventing childhood asthma by restoring the gut microbiome in children affected by cesarean section (CS) disruptions.
