Cristina Leal Rodríguez
Msc, PhD
Cristina received her BSc in Microbiology from Autonomous University of Barcelona (2014); during this time, she spent a year at the University of Bergen investigating the role of antibiotic resistance in the growth of bacteria in biofilms. She holds a MSc in Bioinformatics for health and medical sciences from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, 2016) and a PhD in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics from the University of Copenhagen (2021). Cristina’s previous experience has primarily focused on developing methods for analyzing treatment patterns, adverse outcomes and patient stratification using real world healthcare data. Here at COPSAC, Cristina is part of the Microbiome group where she studies the association between disease development and bacterial and virome composition in early life.
