Ole Bæk
MD, PhD
Since September 2024 Ole has been partially employed at COPSAC as part of the BRIDGE Translational Excellence Program, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
His research focusses on understating the connections between energy metabolic and immunological pathways in young children to improve the treatment of serious infections in children.
Ole graduated as a medical Doctor from Copenhagen University in 2014 and has since completed the first year of residency in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology.
He defended his PhD thesis in 2021 titled; “Immune development in preterm infants and effect on growth restriction”. He has since been employed as a post doc at the Neonatal Department at Rigshospitalet as well as the group for Comparative Pediatics at Copenhagen University.
